Transamerica engaged Ilene Ferenczy to present a segment of their annual virtual conference for administrators. She took the virtual stage on December 4th and brought the participants up-to-speed on “New Hardship Regulations, and New Self-Correction Rules.”

WESTERN PENSION & BENEFITS COUNCIL – Webcast
Ilene Ferenczy presented a webcast to the members of this organization on November 19th. The topic was “Ethics – The Fun Way.”
FOX RIVER AREA PENSION PROFESSIONALS – Appleton, WI
The Board of this independent regional professional group invited Ilene Ferenczy to conduct a full-day training workshop for their members and clients on November 13th. The topics that were included were “How to Turn Benefits M&Ayhem Into M&Agnificent,” and “Controlled and Affiliated Service Groups,” as well as “A Rainbow of Distribution Issues.” Despite the snowy weather, the workshop was well attended.
PENSION EDUCATION COUNCIL OF ATLANTA – Atlanta, GA
On October 17, Ilene Ferenczy co-presented (together with Deb Rubin of Transamerica) a program on Multiple Employer Plans (MEPs) to the local chapter membership.
ASPPA BENEFITS COUNCIL OF CLEVELAND – Cleveland, OH
Ilene Ferenczy traveled to Cleveland on September 25th (following her attendance at a two-day NIPA Board meeting in Chicago) to conduct a full-day workshop for the local ABC chapter. The topics for the day were: “Keeping Current: Washington Update,” “Be Your Client’s Hero!: Lessons Learned from Litigation,” The 12 Steps of Handling a Failure,” 3(16) Services: Should I or Shouldn’t I?,” EPCRS 2019: Revenue Procedure 2019-19,” and Ethics and Professional Responsibility.”
FIS ADVANCED PENSION CONFERENCE – Chicago, IL
During September 4-6, Ilene Ferenczy was one of the main presenters at this semi-annual conference. The topics Ilene presented this year were “Keeping Current: Washington Update,” “Mergers & Acquisitions,” and “How Service Agreements Can Save Your Practice.” In addition, Ilene was a panelist on the “Ask the Experts” panel and a participant in the ever-popular “Pension Jeopardy” contest.
ASPPA BENEFITS COUNCIL OF GREATER TWIN CITIES – Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN
The practitioners in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area had the opportunity to attend a full-day workshop presented by Alison Cohen on Tuesday, September 10th. She will be covering: “Learning to Love Auto Enrollment and Case Studies; “The Art of Plan Takeovers”; “Case Studies in M&A”; and “Plan Termination.”
